I am writing from the seat of the European Union in Brussels, Belgium. Following more than 15 years of studying social media, 4 years of working at a social media company, and then the past year-plus from the outside trying to fix social media, I was invited for an action-packed week with key stakeholders responsible for enforcing the the expansive EU laws regulating tech companies and with groups advising those stakeholders.
